donderdag 5 augustus 2010

donderdag 5 augustus 2010 Up with alarm. Solid night's sleep. Turn on CNN. Oh! CNN's meteorologist - Rob Marciano - is cute. He is saying, "It's going to be hot!"

Hard boiled egg with some spinach salad for breakfast. Shower. Walk down to my place to change my clothes and get some ice. Yes, ice. Back to #404 to watch some more CNN. President Barack Obama is in Chicago talking about the US auto industry. Report - Obama Visits Ford Plant In Chicago.

Walk up Terry to work listening to KUOW on my radio. Very interesting subject - A Peopleless Planet. I enjoyed the scenario of New York City de-evolving. Steve Scher interviews Alan Weisman, the author of The World Without Us.

10 to 11:30 - Planning time for Elaine. The Dolphins have a melt down when Elaine and Jessica leave. Jessica gets some strollers for us. We pack them up, and we stroll down to the waterfront. We look at the boats and kayaks in Lake Union. We also have some time on the playground. Jenny takes the strollers inside. We mingle with the Starfish and some Sea Otters. 11:30 to 12 - Lunch prep for Starfish. Patty preps for the Seahorses. That's pretty considerate of Patty to do that for me. 12 - Renee's lunch break. Lunch is done quickly for most of the Starfish. First, Austin signs all done. Piper and Velvet leisurely get munching on their lunches. Piper licks all the peanut butter off her crackers. Everyone is asleep by 12:30. 1 - Elaine's lunch. Over to Dolphins. Emma is crying. Geez. Jessica coddles her. She goes back to sleep on her mat. But she wakes up again upset that Jessica is not there. 2 - Cristin's lunch. I'm not surprised that 5 Starfish are up. They're really up. Renee and I manage with the energetic toddlers with play-doh, blocks and books. Whew! Walk up Westlake listening to The World on my radio. I'm curious about the Hate Crimes Plague On Staten Island. The working-class neighborhood of Port Richmond on New York City’s Staten Island has recently been the site of attacks against immigrants... especially Mexicans. Why? Get some stuff at Whole Foods. March up First Hill to #404. Call Michael to give him up-date on the status of the cats. Turn on MSNBC for Hardball, Countdown and Maddow. Maxine sits down next to me while I blog.

Beef stir fry with Gregg's potato salad for dinner. Watch movie - War Games. Way back in 1983...
