dinsdag 6 april 2010

dinsdag 6 april 2010 Up at 1:35. Turn on BBC News. Listen to World Book Club. They're interviewing Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio - French author, professor, and Nobel laureate. He talks about his book - Desert. I manage to fall back to sleep. Some strange dream wakes me up again. Turn on AM 1090. Bill Press discusses President Obama’s offshore drilling plan, and the latest on the Pickens Plan with Founder and Chairman of BP Capital Management T. Boone Pickens. I need to eat my breakfast slowly, but I get some burrito down. Up to Kaladi for some of Lauren's Chamomile tea. She asks me, "You're not feeling well?" Hang out for a little bit. Back to my place to check on the news. Shower. My tummy is still queasy. Short walk around d'town. Streetcar to work. 10 to 11 - Kitchen help. Tanja covers for Kim today. Give myself a little break by hiding out in the Rainforst classroom and reading Pugdog. It's a rather gender-bending story about a fun-loving pug whose owner, Mike, says "Good boy!" Mike discovers Pugdog is really a girl.

I manage to set up Dolphin lunches with the 15-minute window of opportunity. Sharyn is covering for Teresa's planning time. Sabrina is extra for us. Thank goodness! Especially with 8 Dolphins. Sabrina does the diapers while I deal with the lunch mess. 12:30 to 1 - I'm extra. 1 - Kathy is subbing for Charmaine. It's her lunch break. Six Sea Otters sleep. 2 - Kenn subs for Patty. Now, it's his lunch. The babies in the hallway wake up Caitlin and she can't go back to sleep. The rest stay asleep. Walk d'town on Westlake. #106 bus tunnel to Uwajimaya. Shop for Sho Chiku Bai, cold chicken with rice noodles and Perrier. #71 bus tunnel to my place. Drop off stuff. Turn on podcast of The World. Watch a couple episodes of Outer Limits. First - Fun And Games. For the entertainment of a jaded extraterrestrial audience, two teams from Earth and another planet fight each other to the death.
Welcome to the planet Ansera.

Next - The Special One. A "special educator" - Mr. Zeno - approaches a family and explains that he is a government educator sent to cultivate the mind of their gifted son, Kenny. Mr. Zeno, however, is an alien, re-educating children in a plot to take over the world.

Kenny now has super-human knowledge, and the question is, where do his loyalties now lie?

Watch some MSNBC News. Report - Airline Charge $45 For Carry-on Bags. Whoa! Always trying to make things harder for travels. No wonder that I use Google Earth for traveling. Finnish off my burrito for dinner. Watch movie - Star Trek (2009). Conk out in the middle.
