woensdag 14 april 2010

hair woensdag 14 april 2010 Up at 2:20. Turn on France 24. Report - Strong Quake Kills Hundreds In North-western Province.

Fall back to sleep. Up with alarm. Turn on Stephanie Miller. Steph and Hal together on the Sxe Cam! A lot of us remember the “good old days” of radio where it was common to tune the AM band at night and listen to stations all over the country come pouring in – when a “clear channel” station was a GOOD thing. Evolution - Hal brings in a couple laptops and his new iPad in his back pack, and he sets up a real TV studio. More power to you, Hal.

Paneer Tikka Masala with spinach pilaf for breakfast. Check Crooks & Liars for this and that. Walk up Eastlake listening to the exciting end of the Spring Pledge Drive for KUOW at exactly 9:14. Lots of cheering. They need to get serious then... to talk about the situation in Haiti. It's rainy season in Haiti. The rainfall is expected to double in April and many people are still without shelter. Journalists report >>> Martin Kaste of NPR and Ansel Herz <<< onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikFDSp8G_5Hygce7-0Vxb7e2SLNASOXkwmkhtbPcYu38mbMgxZ3qn_DCsxy9plh1QeTcUKVJk0KeQeLLK8R-coXriLxcKrTWlMtsCSq1RWoZA-yKgn31tk9nObSInbynaIm1wKVggYrgwH/s1600/04_14_2010+002.jpg">
Bathing in toys.

The weather is really nice. We let the Sea Otters run on the deck. Misti helps us transition to the Bike Room. Sharyn does lunch prep. 11:45 to 12:45 - Charmiane's lunch. I enjoy eating my lunch with the Sea Otters. They eat really well. Patty does the diapers. The lunch mess isn't very bad, so I sit and read books with the kids on the futon. 1 - Up to Wildflowers for Justine's lunch. Sixteen Wildflowers sleep or rest. I browse through their library. I love the First Encyclopedia Of Dinosaurs - which absorbs me. It seems that this book to worn and well-read. These kids love the dinosaurs... like I do.
2 - Patty's lunch. Back down to Sea Otters. The Sea Otters sleep until 2:30. Evanan hears Caitlin fussing. Oy! Evanan is really upset. After a while, I get him to calm down. He hear his say, "Calm." Walk up Terry, cross over to Boren, then up Pine to Rudy's where I get my buzz cut.

Stop by QFC to get some cold fried chicken, Bush's baked beans and salad dressing. Drop off stuff at my place. Watch some more France 24. They actually discuss the imminent elections in the UK. Report - Brown, Cameron And Clegg To Be Grilled In Televised And Digital Debates. Switch to MSNBC to watch Countdown with Keith Olbermann. #1 - Palin Cashes In On Her Name.
Watch episode of Outer Limits - Keeper Of The Purple Twilight. The obsessed scientist - Eric Plummer - is nearing a nervous breakdown trying to complete a magnetic disintegrator that will convert matter into pure energy. The alien - Ikar - offers his technical knowledge of how to build a ray gun in exchange for the scientist's ability to feel emotions.

It is revealed that Ikar comes from a hive world with strictly defined roles, divorced from emotion and personal identity: big brains (like himself) that do the thinking; soldiers that do the fighting; and females that produce the offspring. Cool show.
