vrijdag 2 april 2010

vrijdag 2 april 2010 Up at 4:00. Turn on BBC News. Report - Obama To Step Up Pressure On Iran's Nuclear Plans. President Obama talked a whole hour with Chinese President Hu Jintao about cooperation in this matter. Turn on Stephanie Miller. They criticize the Catholic Church for the individual acts of sexual abuse of chidren by the hands of their priests. Shrimp-feta cheese-basil omelet on toast for breakfast. Shower. Play a lot with Google Earth. Visit London, England. Check out the Olympic Park, the Borough of Hackney and the Stratford neighborhood. Walk through Convention Center. It's Sakura Con 2010! Handsome young men - sometimes shirtless - with their cardboard swords.

Rainy and chilly. It's 41° young man! Put your shirt on! Streetcar to work. 10 to 10:30 - Breaks for Alana and Kenn. Hang out with 8 Dolphins. Break out the electric pink play-doh! Oops. I'm forgetful... Need to do Olivia's break. 11 - Charmaine's lunch. The Sea Otters luck out on this rainy day. We have time in the Bike Room. 12 - Pam's lunch. The 8 Dolphins are already eating lunch. By 12:15, most of them are "All done. All done." So, I slog through all the diapers. It's a pretty chaotic hour, but they're all asleep by 12:55. 1 - Teresa's lunch. The Dolphins sleep through the whole hour. 2 - Patty's lunch. Six Sea Otters - all asleep. Fold some laundry. When I leave, I see that the weather is more wild. Windy! Streetcar to d'town. Need to stretch my legs. Walk up to Capitol Hill. I see the new Elliott Bay Book Store is setting up. I feel a little excited for them.

Back down through Freeway Park. Sakura Con is fun... the best convention at the Convention Center.

Listen to a podcast of The World. Report - Russia Mourns Victims. The first funerals for those killed by the Moscow subway bombings are being held. Switch to Deutsche Welle to watch Euromaxx. The report about architect and designer Thomas Heatherwick is absolutely fascinating. Spaghetti and beef for dinner. Sooooo... on to V. Watch V - Welcome To The War. Before going to bed, I just want to watch Take Me Or Leave Me from RENT.
