dinsdag 27 juli 2010

sick dinsdag 27 juli 2010 I call in sick last night. I watch a variety of shows on my laptop.

Switch to France 24. I listen to it - weather, news, sports and lifestyle. I can't go to sleep. Switch to MSNBC. Chris Hayes has a good report - Stop, Leak and Listen. Declan Walsh from the Guardian goes into the meaning of the Wikileaks. Burrito for breakfast. Turn on Stephanie Miller. I manange to sleep a few minutes. Shower. I'm tempted to go outside, but I'm still sick. Turn on today's Democracy Now. One of the un-reported top stories - Environmental Minister - Buyelwa Sonjica of South Africa - Critizes The US Senate for failing to pass legislation to cap carbon emissions.

Most of the show deals with the Wikileaks and the power of the information. Amy Goodman talks with the Editor of the Guardian on the Coverage of Afghan War Logs: the European Audience "Troubled More...by The Toll this War is Taking on Innocent People" They talk about WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange - his history and personality.

Switch to BBC News - World Have Your Say.

Good debate. People call it about the injustice of Tony Hayward... to be given a golden parachute while so many have lost their lives and jobs. People from Louisiana and Florida about their experiences. I doze off for a couple hours. Play some old music videos. Adam Ant. B-52s, Berlin and the Beastie Boys. "Fight For Your Right To Party!" Culture Club goes to the Argyle In Soho for fun.

Obi Wan fights with Ventress with light sabers.
Do not trust the lies of Dooku.

Next, I watch Andromeda - Forced Perspective. Captain Dylan takes Trance with him on mission to find parts for the ship. Suddenly, he is attacked by unknown assailants, who knock him out and drag him off. Dylan is being interrogated, accused of murder, terrorism, and conspiracy. He only gives his name, rank, and serial number, so his interrogators resort to torture.

Dylan's interrogators accuse him of planning the assassination of their leader and overthrow of their government. Dylan denies this, but is surprised when he is introduced to the leader in question, and it is a familiar face - enetri (the "Great Compass").

Meanwhile... when some people are in danger... Tyr is enjoying Beyond Good And Evil by Nietzsche.

Oh, my. That is love. I love a guy who knows a good book.

Dylan and Trance find Venetri's "clone lab" he has stayed alive for 300 years by making clones for "spare parts". Ew.

Burrito for dinner. Play movie - Team America and The Last Starfighter.
