dinsdag 22 juni 2010

dinsdag 22 juni 2010 Up before the alarm. Turn on BBC News. Check today's World Cup schedule. The France vs South Africa game starts at 7 AM my time. Some burrito for breakfast. Turn on Stephanie Miller. John Fugelsang subs for her today, hosting with the mooks. Welcome to Tuesdays with Tugelsang! This morning, John takes on conservatives who have "stolen Jesus" and used (and abused) Christ for political gain. He, basically, says Jesus Was A Liberal... believing in a philosophy of compassion, equality, inclusion, forgiveness, tolerance, peace and - most importantly - love... 100% Liberal. I get revved by the theme of the show. Loving it! Shower. Sorry, John. Time to switch to France vs South Africa. I have it covered 3 different ways - the live blog on BBC Sport, L'Équipe and ESPN-Radio. It's great to hear the action live. The commentary is fascinating. The French are looking morose entering the game. The South Africans have the energy... and they get the first goal in 20 minutes.

The game is intense. Finally, the French team makes a score. Along, with the other games, Mexico And Uruguay Advance. So France and South Africa are eliminated. Walk up to work. 10 - Breaks starting with Patty. Six Seahorses play on the deck. It's fun on the deck with bikes and balls.
Go, kids, go!
Of course, we need a ball... a nice purple, gushy ball.
I like Alex's Wall-E t-shirt. Is it a blur?
Maya and I compare shoes.
11 - Lunch prep for Dolphins and Sea Otters. They come inside from the playground. Both groups precede to have a meltdown. Whoa! One starts crying, then they all cry. They settle down when they eat lunch. I eat with the Dolphins. Up to Moons & Stars to give Robbin a break. Then, down to Starfish to give Erin a break. Those kids are asleep already. 1 - Kathy's lunch. She's subbing for Charmaine. Patty is dealing with Evanan. He's having a hard time settling down for a nap. The 6 Seahorses are sleeping. 2 - Patty's lunch. Alex and Caitlin wake up. We read books together. Walk up Westlake to my place. Drop off stuff and change clothes. It's warm. Catch a #43 up to Cal Anderson Park. A photograph of a photographer. I like his big camera.
People playing in the fountain.
Another kickabout in the park. The game is bilingual - Spanish/English.
Back to my place. Turn on The World. France Leaves World Cup In Shame. Switch to France 24... It's the same thing... but they go into the excruciating details. France's World Cup dreams have been shattred. Report - France Crashes Out Of World Cup. The Focus is on how to build a new Team France... Not until the tournaments in 2016... They can try again. Turn on MSNBC. Chris Matthews asks Should Obama Fires McCrystal? You know; he's The Runaway General.

Some burrito and stir fried beef for dinner. Watch Star Trek - Journey To Babel.
