vrijdag 18 juni 2010 Up at 3:51. Turn on BBC News. Listen a little, the I doze off to sleep. I hear about Tony Haywards testimony yesterday. Report - Congress Tells Hayward BP Ignored Oil Well Dangers. The alarm wakes me up again. Turn on Stephanie Miller. She talks about her appearance on Larry King. See Steph on "Larry King Live" 6-17-10. There seems to always be a Tea Bagger on the panel - Dana Loesch.

Who’s sorry now? Rep. Joe Barton, that’s who. They focus on his statements yesterday. The Texas Republican is the House’s top recipient of oil industry campaign contributions since 1990. The blog posts an interesting website - Joe Barton Would Like To Apologize. Chili on toast for breakfast. Shower. Short walk to Rainier Square and back up to my place. Make some coffee. Keep track of the USA vs Slovenia soccer game. It ends up in a tie - 2 to 2. Walk up to Whole Foods to get some lunch at the breakfast bar. 10 to 11:30 - Kitchen help. Kim and I chat about the results of the transition. Wash dishes, fold laundry, fix some snack. The kids are alright, we conclude. 11:30 - Join the 8 Rainforest Kids on the deck. We head up to the classroom. I eat lunch with the kids. "Can I see?" I show them my eggs and hashbrowns. 12:30 - Erin's lunch break. I do potty time while Justine cleans up the lunch mess. Nice, easy pace for the afternoon. The kids are asleep by 1:10. I go through Justine's materials. I like her Shape Monster.

I take a break. 2 - Tanja's lunch. She's subbing for Patty. The Seahorses are sleeping. Evanan wakes up coughing... a lot. Poor guy. He has a cold. He sneezes all over me. Lots of snot. Ew! We read books together. This is not a magical nap time. Alex wakes up early, too. Streetcar to d'town. #73 bus tunnel to Uwajimaya to get a Lucky Meal - some Odon noodle beef and teriyaki chicken. #106 bus tunnel to my place. The weather is quite nice. Walk up to Cal Anderson Park. There's a few groups kicking the soccer ball around. Fun to watch. In the spirit of the World Cup.

I love how Seattle appreciates soccer - the sport of the world. I appreciate the diversity of the population of Capitol Hill. Back to my place. I turn on Comedy Central. I thought that I would watch Jon Stewart... but they have a great section on Futurama. I watch clip after clip of this great series. "Radio City Mutant Hall." Oh! Spock's Head In A Jar! Watch MSNBC. Eat some of my Lucky Meal for dinner. Watch movie - Across The Universe, but I fall asleep in just a few minutes into it.
