maandag 14 juni 2010 Up at 1:02. Turn on KUOW to hear BBC News. Report - Uzbeks Flee Kyrgyzstan Violence. An Uzbek woman flees from the southern Kyrgyz city of Osh waiting for permission to cross into Uzbekistan.

Doze in and out of sleep. It's not a deep sleep at all. Turn on Bill Press. He seems upset that Glenn Beck is hosting an event on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington in August. How did he get a permit? "Restoring Honor - August 28th" Ketchup on toast for breakfast. Switch to Stephanie Miller. She talks about her tea party (a real tea party) with John Fugelsang in NYC. How sweet.

Shower. Take a short walk up Pike and down University. Listen to more Steph. Walk up Westlake to work. 10 to 3 - Extra support for the Dolphins and Sea Otters. First day for the new groups. It seems that the kids are doing well. The Dolphins are friendly and they seem to like me. I do lunch prep for Dolphins and Sea Otters while the Dolphins go on a walk in the strollers. They eat rather early. I'm glad that I started early. Lunchtime is ok. Jessica cleans up the lunch mess. While the Dolphins sleep, I go over to Seahorses for a little visit. Evanan sits with me while we read books. Maya gives me hugs. Back to Dolphins and Sea Otters. Ella and Chiyo are sad. It's probably that there is too much change. We take the early-risers out to the playground. Lots of fresh air for me. Snack is yogurt and raspberries. I leave while they're eating snack. Walk up Westlake and 8th to Taco Del Mar to get my Monday Mondo Burrito. Drop off stuff at home. Listen to The World. Report - Sounding The Vuvuzela! This report teaches us how to play the Vuvuzela. I love the Vuvuzela Symphony. Also, I like the story about Alex Rowe - A Brit in the French Foreign Legion who gets high honors. Report - British army reject earns France's highest military honour. Watch France 24. They have an interesting point of view on Bart De Wever... a sumo wrestler on the cover of La Capitale.

Burrito and raw kale salad with tahini dressing for dinner. Watch movie - The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy.
The Book: It's an important and popular fact that things are not always what they seem. For instance, on the planet Earth, Man had always assumed that he was the most intelligent species occupying the planet, instead of the *third* most intelligent. The second most intelligent creatures were of course dolphins who, curiously enough, had long known of the impending destruction of the planet earth. They had made many attempts to alert mankind to the danger, but most of their communications were misinterpreted as amusing attempts to punch footballs or whistle for titbits. So they eventually decided they would leave earth by their own means. The last ever dolphin message was misinterpreted as a surprisingly sophisticated attempt to do a double backward somersault through a hoop while whistling the star-spangled banner, but in fact the message was this: So long and thanks for all the fish.
