donderdag 9 december 2010

donderdag 9 december 2010 Up with alarm. Solid night's sleep. Egg salad on toast for breakfast. Turn on Stephanie Miller. Steph feels bad about what happened to Alan Grayson. I guess that Alan got in trouble with Lawrence O'Donnell on his show - The Last Word. Alan couldn't get his tax facts straight, and Lawrence really lit into him. He got quite huffy.

Shower. Walk up Westlake to work. A lot of people are out today. 45-minute lunch breaks. I'm all over the place. Sea Otters...

They enjoy their duplos. Starfish... We play with the tunnel and relax on the futon with books.

Up to Sunshine Kids. Before lunch, we read Old MacDonald Drives A Tractor. The kids enjoy the sound effects I make for the farm machines. They giggle at the Spritzer sound.

We also read Walter Was Worried. The kids and I like this book. It's a portrait of a very worried Walter. But wait! The letters that spell out his feelings form his facial characteristics, as well as his expression. Gradually a simple story unfolds: the sky grows dark, the fog rolls in, lightning lights the sky, and thunder shakes the trees; Priscilla was puzzled, Shirley was shocked, Frederick was frightened... and eventually (when the sun came out) Henry was hopeful, and Elliot ecstatic.

Down to Starfish for their nap time. They go down early and wake up late. Then over to Seahorses. The kids are sleeping. Patty and I talk about the survey and the useless playground. Walk home. It starts to rain again. I stay inside. Watch KOMO News. Episode of Batman - The Penguin Goes Straight. It's so funny. Penguin goes to the stream rooms of millionaire clubs, it seems. I adore Robin's youthful enthusiasm. Burgess Meredith was born in Cleveland.

I love the dialogue. Holy leopard. What a change of spots. Gee, that cement filled umbrella sure cooled 'em off! Jumpin' jeepers! A bullet proof umbrella! The caped crusaders are frustrated by the crafty Penguin.

Also, Twilight Zone - Time Enough At Last. A henpecked book lover finds himself blissfully alone with his books after a nuclear war.

Curry chicken on rice for dinner. Watch Hardball and Countdown. Play movie - Wizard Of Oz. I doze off after the Cyclone Scene.
