zaterdag 3 januari 2015 Midnight movie - Forbidden Planet. Don't you love it, too? This is my favorite scene. The invisible monster from the Id is illuminated as a result of its contact with a defensive "force field" energy barrier and "ray gun" weapons fire. Restless. Next movie - The Mysterians. In eastern Japan, a giant robot appears decimating everything in its path. A dome appears out of the ground and a group of scientists are invited to meet the alien Mysterians from the planet Mysteroid. The Mysterians say that have come in peace... "18% of our children are born with abnormal defects." (Isn't that a double negative?) I love the conversations via pink-o-vision.
All they ask humanity for is three-square kilometers of land and the right to interbreed with Earth women to repopulate their species. Outraged at such a suggestion, the Earth Defense Force declares war on the Mysterians. Write some e-mails. Finally, I conk out around 6:30 in the morning. Up again at 10:49. Pepperoni and red bell pepper pizza for breakfast. Watch Up With Steve Kornacki. It IS the first Saturday of the year 2015. Steve Kornacki and his guests reflect on the legacy of Democratic hero and former New York Gov. Mario Cuomo, and look at what could have happened if Cuomo ran for president - Mario Cuomo leaves behind a mystery for the ages.
It's 38° and hazy for my walk up to Whole Foods. The store is rather busy. It's outrageous but I got a package of 6 organic large brown eggs from Organic Valley - $2.99. Everything on the Quest Card. Listen to Imagine Dragons - It's Time on the radio on my way home. Soak in a hot bath while listening to the Rick Steves  program. Francis Tapon checks in with Rick at the halfway point of his goal to explore each of Africa's 54 countries - Africa54.com. African historian Martin Meredith explains the lasting impact of the continent's colonial legacy. Also, Sasha Martin shares how to introduce your family to the favorite foods of every nation on earth - Global Table Adventure. I love Melissa Harris-Perry! 2015 resolution: The Year Of Talk. Mmmmmm. I'm a rather quiet guy. Yet...MHP invites more conservatives to appear on Nerdland. How can you refuse the bowl of M & M's?
